Spring flush, popularly known as the First Flush is the picking of the brand new two leaves and a bud in the earliest spring growth of the plant, during March and April. These early leaves are usually more delicate and tender and therefore more light, floral, fresh, brisk, and astringent in flavour. To preserve the spring leaf flavor, First Flush Darjeeling teas are less oxidized during processing and may appear more greenish in color than a typical black tea. Darjeeling First Flush tea is some of the most prized and expensive on the market. It is so special and exclusive that tea connoisseurs consider the first harvest from this region to be the “Champagne” of teas.
Dhenki is offering traditional Darjeeling first flush with fresh flavour with a prominent flowery character. The tea is moderately oxidized sufficiently oxidized to ensure that all the exquisite flavors are prominently present. It is very light on the palate with a smooth clean flavor. The tea was manufactured when the temperatures were low at the tea garden which helped in making the tea smooth and soft. It has a very strong and prominent aftertaste which stays with you for quite some.

How to Brew

* 2.5g tea per cup
* 200ml water (7 fl oz)
* Heat just below 100℃ (212 °F)
* 3-5 mins of steeping

Brewing Instructions :

Take fresh water in a kettle and bring it to just below the boiling point for a moment. Place 1- 1.5 tablespoon of tea leaves per cup in a teapot. Pour the hot water in the teapot over the leaves. Steep it there for 3-5 minutes. Savor and enjoy the elixir.

NB: Maximum 3-5 times of re-steeping of the tea is recommended.

Dhenki Introduces World Famous Arabica Coffee

Product History –

In 1930, amidst the deep jungles of Koraput, at the tribal heartland of Orissa, on the slopes of rolling hills and numerous waterfalls, King Rajbahadur Rama Chandra Deo built a small coffee garden for his own hobby and employment of local tribesmen.

World’s best coffee seed species ‘Arabica’ were planted in Koraput. Since then Koraput never compromised on the quality and continued cultivation of Arabica in the forest.

The landscape and the weather of Koraput makes it one of the best places in India to grow Arabica coffee. Factors like an average altitude of 2600-2800 feet, shade of lofty trees of dense forest, the sloping hills and the heartiest care of local tribes for the forest helped the coffee garden grow slowly in Koraput.

This coffee cultivation of the adivasis came to the notice of some enterprising bureaucrats of the Orissa government in late 80s and with their patronization the cultivation continued to grow. Today, the indigenous people of Koraput cultivate almost all varieties of the world’s best coffee Arabica on about 2248 hectares of land. Their coffee has already won the ‘Italian Best Coffee Award’

Darjeeling Clonal Muscatel – Second Flush 2021

This second flush muscatel tea is made from the finest mixed clones at the highest elevated section from Gopaldhara Tea Estate. It is sufficiently oxidized to ensure that all the exquisite flavours are prominently present. The dry leaves are brownish with random golden tips which brew into orange liquor and a medium-bodied cup. It has a prominent fruity muscatel flavour devoid of any astringency & bitterness.
